Over time, the skin on the upper eyelid excess, bags on the lower lids, drooping of the eyebrows, dimples in the eyes, tissue loss in the mid-face may be accompanied by varying degrees. This situation gives the person a more tired and old appearance than they are. In addition, excess skin on the upper eyelid can narrow the eye-opening and cause a decrease in the visual field.
Even if the changes that occur in the eye area over time can be corrected with non-surgical methods until a certain age, some surgical interventions become necessary for more effective results after a while. Although the surgical procedure is mostly performed at the age of 30 and after, it can also be performed earlier according to the needs of the person.

In eyelid aesthetics, the upper eyelid and the lower eyelid can be intervened separately or simultaneously, depending on the need. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia and in some cases in combination with drugs that will bring additional sleep (sedation). It is a procedure that lasts between 30 minutes and 1.5 hours. Incisions are made from the skin folds according to the previous measurement and planning. Excess skin, herniated fat tissue and in some cases some muscle tissue are removed. Fat tissue on the lower eyelid is removed. It is replaced by eyelid and cheek. Tapes are placed on the incision areas after the surgery in a way that does not obstruct vision. There will be varying degrees of swelling and bruising around the eyes for the first 2 days. It starts to regress after the 3rd day. 4-5. bands are removed. On average, at the end of the first week, the person returns to his normal life.
