The original architecture of the tissue is restructured and the second is the replacement of the original architecture with another tissue. After the skin integrity is broken, the healing of the skin occurs in the form of the replacement of the original architecture with the construction tissue (scar tissue). This results in scar formation.
There are many factors that determine the amount of scar that will remain, such as individual differences, skin type, location of the damage in the body, the tension in the wound lips, direction of the wound, regional infections, and blood supply disorders, and repair type. For example, scarring is worse in oily and pigmented skin or in childhood where the skin is tight. The depth of the wound is another factor. Damages in the superficial layers of the skin can heal without scars or with fewer scars. The best-expected trail is thin low and linear. It runs parallel to natural skin wrinkles and natural transition lines. It does not cause shrinkage in the surrounding tissues.
One of the most curious subjects in plastic surgery operations is whether there will be a scar after the operation. Any situation where a full-thickness incision is made on the skin will leave a scar. The philosophy of scars in plastic surgery is based on using techniques and materials that will leave scars relatively less, rather than leaving scars, and hiding the scar in natural skin wrinkles and fold areas. However, in any case, the final result is affected by many factors listed above.

For less scarring, creams made from onion extract or containing silicone can be used after 2 weeks when the remodeling of the wound begins.
In some patients, excessive production of tissue (Hypertrophic scar, keloid) may occur in the wound healing area. Many factors such as the genetic structure of the person, the type of injury, location, and depth play a role in this process. Silicone-containing gels and layers, printed dressing, intralesional steroid injection, pulse dye laser, radiotherapy, or surgical excision are among the treatment options.
In some scar areas, scar revisions can be made to obtain better scar tissue. The aim is to change the direction of the scar, divide it into sections and bring it to the same plane with the surrounding tissue. This treatment is applied in cases where the scar tissue has matured. Various geometric repair techniques are used. It is applied under local or general anesthesia depending on the region and width.
